SFGP to become SJGP?

Thanks Mom and Dad for seeing this before I did and telling me about it. LOL, I'm slowing converting my parents into cycling fanatics.

So, after all the hubbub in San Francisco over the lost money and the SFGP, San Jose is stepping to the plate.

Dean Munro, executive director of the San Jose Sports Authority, said he plans to talk with organizers next week about playing host to the one-day race. But many cyclists by the bay believe Threshold is shopping the race around as method to create buzz. As well, many question whether the race could San Francisco's hilly streets and waterfront backdrops. And while Munro is interested in the endevor, he believes the race would face similar monitary issues as when held in San Francisco.

Guess we'll have to wait and see, but it would be awesome to have the race in San Jose, not because it's SJ, but because it's just more available racing in California for cyclists and race fans alike.
