First EcoCab in Chico

Ah, nothing like the smell of french fries emmitted from the exhaust of a Mercedes. Yup, that is the smell that comes from the rear of Bryan Gabbard's 1978 Mercedes cab which runs on vegetable oil. Gabbard started running the cab service on Oct 27 and has been passing along the message of alternatives to fossil fuels while carting folks around the Chico area. Before running the cab, Gabbard worked as a pedicab driver for three years. Gabbard is a masters student at CSUC studying geography but is applying his interest in green alternitives to create a niche business in the area.

Way to go Bryan! I love the smell of fries!
