Tour Of The Unknown Valley
Upon pulling up near the firestation in Willows I ran into the guys I had ridden with the last century. At first I only saw Pat, Bill, and Randy (I think his name is Randy) until Johnathan came cruising up on his orange Rambouillet. The reason I mention the Rambouillet is because it's hand built in Walnut Creek. So, the day was nice and warm with a decent breeze. Randy and Bill raced off the front of the group after about 10 miles but Pat, Johnathan, and myself decided we were most interested in having a good time just riding, rather than hammering. The previous ride I did with these guys, The Paskenta Century, we hammered the whole day and it was brutal. Anyway, so we took our time and enjoyed ourselves at all the rest stops. I had a great time, got some great exercise in, and worked on my tan (actually sunburn).
The next century ride planned is Bike Around the Buttes and starts in Sutter, just south of the Buttes.
Anyway, check out the picture I took of the Unknown Valley.
