Julich Wins Race To the Sun!

In a race which began with three shortened stages due to snowy weather, Lance Armstrong dropping out, and finally sun, Bobby Julich pulled out a huge victory for team CSC. Bobby nabbed the leaders jersey on stage 5, Rognes to Toulon (Mont-Faron), and heald it to the finish in Nice.

It was a sweet victory on many levels for Julich who resides in Reno, NV. Paris-Nice is the first Pro Tour race ever and Julich rode superbly. In the process, he is also the first rider to wear the Pro Tour leader's jersey, and to boot, Nice is Julich's European home.

I'm about to watch about an hour and a half of the race on OLN and will see how that is to the live type-written commentary provided by CyclingNews.com.

You can read about each stage at the links below, thanks to the folks CyclingNews.com.
